Season 2: Nightfall
Episode 1: Anne Get Your Gun (2029) It becomes clear the approaching asteroid is massive enough to cause an E.L.E.. As societies continue to crumble and chaos reigns, a Northwest rancher prepares his family for long term survival in the aftermath. At the last moment the asteroid is unexplainably diverted from its collision path, clearly coinciding with the sudden arrival of an extra-terrestrial being.
Episode 2: Malevolent Benevolence (2029) Pieces of the asteroid separate, causing extensive impact damage. It becomes obvious it was the extra-terrestrial who intervened, diverting the largest portions harmlessly into space. A public media blitz ensues, fears assuaged, he becomes the benevolent icon of the masses and unpretentiously takes charge of infrastructure repairs, and political reorganization.
Episode 3: The Jeez & Cracker’s Show (2030) Taking advantage of the respite caused by recent events, scattered groups of rebel survivors band together and organize. They are secretly aided by two radio talk show icons who distrust the alien’s agendas and publicly frustrate his attempts for global control. Returning from the site of a failed mission, the Commander learns he has been unceremoniously relieved.
Episode 4: A Darkness In the Light (2030) When the Commander learns it was the alien who relieved him, he threatens to terminate his enlistment but is ushered into the alien’s presence where he learns details of his origin. The alien gains the Commander’s trust, and reveals a powerful Confederation, headed by a newly appointed CEO. The Commander is promoted to Marshall of the Confederation.
Episode 5: The T-Bags Are Coming! (2031) The Marshall is shocked to learn regiments, formerly composed of human soldiers, are now being systematically replaced by Trans-Human (T-Bag) forces, secretly under mass development. Some governments rebel, noting T-Bags relegate humans to second-class citizens. The Marshall responds by increasing counter-insurgency missions against the disgruntled.
Episode 6: The Dome Conspiracy (2032) As political tensions mount, the Marshall privately becomes distrustful of Confederation motives. He is confused when a government threatens nuclear retaliation but is ameliorated by the promise of re-building the symbolic center of their faith. As the grateful nation commences building, the Marshall knows it is but a momentary distraction to an all-out invasion plot.
Episode 7: Babylon Is Burning (2033) A tectonic shift causes a massive oil spill that is ignited by a refinery burn-off stack. The subsequent explosive fire storm is so immense, it obliterates a capitol city and two major sea ports. This causes a global economic collapse. The Confederation falsely claims the incident was actually a covert underground nuclear detonation orchestrated by a Middle-East neighbor.
Episode 8: The Great Umbra Explodes (2035) A massive solar flare scorches the planet, killing off a large percentage of animal life on land and sea. Sources of fresh water are disappearing rapidly, and human survivors begin developing malignant sores caused by high levels of radiation. The collapsing Confederation uses the media to focus blame on a single nation, claiming it is the culprit for all recent disasters.
Episode 9: DEFCON 1 (2036) The Confederation assembles a vast allied force with the strategic objective of obliterating a race of people while advancing on its capital city. The Marshall is angered by this racially motivated and unsolicited attack but is ordered to lead a core of tanks and armored transports, in a left flanking maneuver, to capture enemy forces attempting to escape towards the east.
Episode 10: The ‘Rock’ Rolls (2036) While speeding towards his objective the Marshall, along with his tank core, are suddenly halted by inexplicable mechanical failures. At that moment he and his men witness an unidentified extra-terrestrial advancing against the main body of the allied force. Disparate radio traffic attests to a stunning allied defeat. The ground opens up and the Marshall’s tank disappears.
